Happy New Year! I hope you all had a fun, relaxing, and healthy break! Winter has arrived! The cold and snow let us know that winter is here. To help celebrate the winter season, we will begin our three week winter unit. In this unit, we will learn about winter weather, winter clothing, and winter activities. We will also read and learn about snow and snowflakes. We will get to create our own fake snow as well as play with real snow!
As long as the wind chill is above 10 degrees, we will go outside. This means students will need snow boots (when snow is on the ground), snow pants (when snow is on the ground), a winter jacket, mittens/gloves, and a hat. You can either send in an extra set of snow gear to keep at school or send them with your child each day. Please be sure your student has gym shoes with them or here at school to change into.
